Polished Concrete
Grinding and polishing the slab you already have into a finished floor — no covering, nothing to replace later.
The floor is already there. We finish it.
Polishing is the one concrete finish with nothing added on top. Instead of laying a coating over the slab, we grind it — coarse tooling first to open the surface and take out the trowel marks, then finer and finer heads until it reflects. A densifier goes in along the way to harden the surface so it holds that finish under traffic.
Because there is no film involved, there is nothing to peel away from the slab in five years. That is the whole appeal of it for warehouses, showrooms and interior floors that get used hard.
What's included
- Ground with progressively finer diamond tooling rather than coated
- Densified and sealed, so the finish is the slab and not a film on top of it
- Nothing to delaminate, bubble or peel later
- Gloss set where you want it, from a low satin to a full reflection
- Interior slabs, showrooms, offices, retail and warehouse floors
- Old coatings removed first by our own crews, not subcontracted

Prep decides the result here too
Fifty years of preparing concrete for coatings turns out to apply just as directly to polishing it. How flat the slab is, how hard it is, and what has soaked into it all show up in the finished floor — and they all have to be dealt with before the first pass, not after.
Our own crews do the grinding. Nothing about this job is subcontracted, which is the only way to keep the standard consistent from the first pass to the last.

Polished Concrete questions
How is polished concrete different from an epoxy coating?
A coating sits on top of the slab. Polishing is the slab. We grind up through a sequence of finer and finer diamond tooling and densify the surface, so there is no film that can peel, chip or bubble later on.
Can any slab be polished?
Most can. It comes down to how hard the concrete is, how much aggregate you want showing, and what is already on it. If yours will not take a good polish we will tell you that before you spend money on it.
What if there is an old coating on the floor already?
It has to come off first, and that is work we do ourselves — coating removal is a service in its own right for us, and we do it for other contractors as well as on our own jobs.
How much shine can I have?
Anything from a low satin through to a mirror finish. It is set by how far up the grit sequence we take it, and we agree that with you before starting.
