Tennis & Pickleball Court Coating Removal in Indio

Built for Indio homes.

Indio sits in the Coachella Valley, where summer heat is in a category of its own. Concrete here takes sun and temperature that would be considered extreme anywhere else we work, and pool decks in particular have to be built for barefoot use in genuinely punishing conditions.

That makes cool-deck finishes less of an upgrade and more of a requirement. Light, textured, reflective surfaces are what make a Coachella Valley pool deck usable in July, and color choice does more work here than any other single decision on the job.

UV is equally punishing. Standard epoxy has no business on an exterior slab in this valley — it will amber and chalk quickly. Penetrating stains and UV-stable systems are what hold their color, and there is no point pretending otherwise to make a sale.

Indio FAQs

Tennis & Pickleball Court Coating Removal in Indio, questions

Why do you steer away from epoxy outdoors here?

Because it will not last. Standard epoxy ambers and chalks under strong UV, and this valley delivers about as much of that as anywhere in the state. We would rather tell you that than take the job and have you call us about the color in three summers.

How many coats build up on a court before it has to come off?

More than most owners realize. Courts get recoated every few years, and each cycle adds thickness. Eventually the build-up cracks, blisters and holds water, and another color coat on top just repeats the problem on a thicker base. At that point it has to come back to the slab, and that is the work we do.

Do you resurface the court as well, or only strip it?

We are specialists in the removal. Plenty of court resurfacing contractors bring us in to strip a court back and then lay their own system over what we leave. If you are an owner rather than a contractor we are happy to talk you through what the court needs and who is well placed to surface it.
