Why David Paul Foster Co. in Mira Mesa

Microtopping & Concrete Overlays in Mira Mesa, done right.

Thin cementitious overlays that give old concrete a completely new surface, indoors or out. We work Mira Mesa across the planned residential grid between the canyons north of the city, with our own crew on every job — no subcontractors, no surprise charges, and one number to call from the first estimate to the finished concrete coating.

We apply microtopping & concrete overlays across Mira Mesa and the surrounding area, including El Cajon, San Diego, Escondido, San Marcos.

What's included

  • Applied directly over existing concrete — no demolition, no new slab
  • Knock-down texture, flagstone, tile, brick, cobblestone and more
  • Existing cracks worked into the pattern rather than left as a flaw
  • Dexite overlay system
  • Patios, pool decks, driveways, walkways and entries
  • Costs less than removing and repouring the slab
Microtopping & Concrete Overlays in Mira Mesa

Built for Mira Mesa homes.

Mira Mesa is a large planned community in northern San Diego, built out mostly from the 1970s onward on the mesa between canyons. The housing is consistent in age, which means the concrete is too — and it is all reaching the same point at the same time.

Sitting up on the mesa a few miles inland, it gets some marine influence without the salt load of a beachfront property. Moisture is worth checking on older slabs, but conditions here are moderate compared with either the coast proper or the inland valley.

Because Mira Mesa was built out across a relatively narrow window, the concrete is a consistent age across whole streets, and the same jobs come up repeatedly: original driveways and patios that are structurally fine but have had forty-odd years of sun on the surface.

Mira Mesa FAQs

Microtopping & Concrete Overlays in Mira Mesa, questions

Do you come this far into San Diego?

Yes. Mira Mesa and the northern San Diego communities are within our area. It is a longer run from Wildomar than our Riverside County work, so we group San Diego visits sensibly, but estimates are still free and on site.

What about the cracks in my patio?

We can work them into the design. Laid into a stone-like pattern, a crack stops reading as a flaw and becomes part of the joint line.

What patterns can I have?

From a basic knock-down texture through to flagstone, tile, brick and cobblestone. We offer Dexite, an overlay system built for exactly this, and the design goes on directly over the existing concrete.
